My wisdom teeth were removed on Friday (all 4) in the dentist's chair using medication (so not general anesthesia) and tomorrow night I have to go to my honours graduation. Hopefully my chipmunk cheeks will not be very visible and I can smile in photos..
I don't recall very much at all of Friday. I wasn't allowed breakfast, turned up at the dentist at 8.30 when they gave me the medication. Read for about an hour after which everything is hazy. I was 'awake' for the operation but cannot remember much at all (which is good!). My mum picked me up, brought me home laughing and crying, put me in bed where I fainted once trying to drink some water, then again when I was on the toilet (no food + meds = dizzy me) and puked when I had to have antibiotics. Yesterday I vomited again but today I am feeling more awake, although the cheeks are more painful. Overall, the experience is not as bad as I thought it would be.
