Real life update

Hi everyone. I’ve been offered a job in Sydney so I’ll be moving in the next 4-5 weeks. First I have to finish my current job here in Perth next week and then I’ll be quite busy packing and sorting out my new life. Which means I might not have as much time as I would like to work on my #nuzlocke comic.
Don’t worry, I haven’t given up on it! I’ve drawn some pages but need to get them inked and want to completely finish a chapter before I post anything.
Meanwhile I took some refuge in crochet - I’m making a #legendofzelda Link hat for my brother (and afterwards another one for me).
Take care everyone and if you don’t hear from me for a while you know why!

30 day Pokemon Challenge

Yay I've finally handed in my PhD thesis!
I have time to draw again, so to get back into it I've started the 30 day Pokemon challenge in combination with the 30 day palette challenge 
to make it that little bit more interesting.
Hopefully I learn something!
Notes:
- I'll probably not be able to do these every day but I will try to catch up if possible, otherwise just one a day until they're done. For example this weekend I will be walking in the bush for 24hrs..
- Try not to repeat
- Probably not going to use the colour palette challenge for trainers..

So 2013 started off well, but dwindled slowly to not much. I still feel like I progressed a bit, if only in being more regular and actively seeking to improve my knowledge. I just don't feel like I've actually *done* much.

October project: studies

I'm doing these monthly projects to help me get through a bunch of things I've wanted to do for ages and to set goals. 
I'll be using the following groups for themes/topics/ideas:

Of course I have a lot of art-related ones! Next month I have chosen to get some focused practice in and do some studies. 
These are studies (can be lots of 5 min ones or 2 or 3 hour-long ones) on one theme every week for a month. I want to learn from these. As such, I'll make a point of summarising what learned from the study, what I struggled with, what clicked into place and anything I need to work on.
