Cyndaquil speedpaint

Hooray my first successful speedpaint!

So I'm not completely happy with everything, but I think that will always be the case with a speedpaint - it's just too rough for my perfectionist mind. But I'm glad I was able to draw something from scratch on my Wacom tablet and colour it in, ALL in less than 3 hours (approx). I suppose it's my first real completed (i.e. with a background) digital painting on my Wacom tablet!

I know there's heaps wrong with this - it's my first speedpaint, and I was going for finishing this in a reasonably (?) quick timeframe. Please offer suggestions on technique rather than whatever elements may be wrong.

No reference really, had a quick look at some Cyndaquil pics from Google but drew it out of my own head.
