A sketch I did yesterday, based on another sketch I had drawn in a lecture last week. The kangaroo-dude is (I guess) my furry-boyfriend, with the panther/cat in his arms would be me.. Just a kiss!

Basically its for my boyfriend for our 1 year anniversary coming up in October.. I plan on making him some more bookmarks (see my other bookmark - that was for his birthday). He's already gone through the 4 copies of the other bookmark. :O Boys.. =P

I plan on putting a sunset/sunrise beach scene in the background, and also turning it into a wallpaper.

Please give me (helpful and kind) critique!! :) I think I already spotted that his right bicep is too short.

*I will move this to scraps once I upload an updated version of it*

Ok, first of all, I love the white against the background. Is that a certain type of paper you drew on, or did you add it later with Photoshop or something? Either way, it looks awesome.

As far as critiques go, the only thing that really stood out to me was his left (our left) hand. It's a bit small for his body. Otherwise I think you did a really great job, especially the back of your hind legs/tail. I always find a back view to be difficult, but you pulled it off well.

Yeah the background was just a texture from Resurgere. I just used a light eraser in Photoshop (lkike 40% opacity I think) to get the white effect. Thanks :D

I agree with you on the hand, I'll probably outline it properly and then enlarge it. :)

Hey, me and my boyfriend's one-year anniversary is also in October! =)

As for critiques, I'm no expert and I'm actually currently getting help on drawing from another artist on this site. But I'm sure he'll love it and I can't wait to see it in finished form! How far have you gotten since posting this?

I haven't gotten much further.. I have ideas but!! Once the deadline gets closer I'm sure I'll start moving! :XD: Once it's finished I will put it up! :)
